Corporate Caterers was started by Dennis McGinley and Jim Gass in 1997. They each brought over 20 years experience in restaurant management and catering business when they combined their talents to open their first operation in Miami, Florida. In 2000 the company recruited Elda McGinley who brought expert knowledge in contract and purchasing power in the commercial wholesale industry. Elda's strenghts also help us continue to develop our business operations and office management systems. Jim opened the Boca Raton operation in early 2002 to serve a growing demand from existing and new clients in counties north of Miami. His focus is on company expansion through franchising and is the current Vice President of the Franchisor Association of Florida. In early 2008 Corporate Caterers opened our 3rd corporate location in the Naples/Ft. Myers Florida area. In January of 2008 we proudly announced the opening of our first 2 franchised locations, one in Tequesta/Jupiter Florida and another in Atlanta Georgia. The goals of Corporate Caterers were idealistic: low start-up cost, limited overhead costs, shorter business hours, good profit margins, loyal employees and happy clients. The house "rules" were straight forward: only breakfast and lunch catering five days a week — weekends off; only business and corporate clientele — no private parties, no nights; and a small, well-trained staff offering only off-premise catering with good food, presentation and service. Over ten years and millions of dollars in sales later, Corporate Caterers has achieved the goals, kept the ideas they set out for themselves, and continues to grow profitably. And they have personal lives, weekends off, and a healthy business outlook for the future. Over the past few years, Corporate Caterers has added more business staff and capability in order to serve their own growth, as well for franchise expansion. This included the addition of a Marketing Manager. Brooke Spitzer brought years of marketing and business knowledge to the company. She began as the company's Marketing Manager in 1995 and now is the in-house Franchise Director and 2007 President of the Franchisor Association of Florida. Currently, through the efforts of the management team and amazing staff, Corporate Caterers has established a solid reputation amongst their peers and professional clientele for well-prepared and pleasing food, attractively presented, with attentive and appreciated service. Additionally, they are making a name for themselves in the franchising world and sharing their distinctive concept with new business owners nationwide. |
